Robert G. Grossman, M.D. is a professor and chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine, and, chief of neurological service at The Methodist Hospital, as well as, St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital. He and Dr. Kemp Clark were the two neurosurgeons at Parkland Hospital who examined Kennedy immediately after he was shot. Grossman received his medical degree in 1957 from Columbia University where he earned the Borden Undergraduate Research Award in medicine. In addition to Parkland, he has held academic appointments at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and, University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he was chief, Division of Neurosurgery.
