A Troubling Legacy: The Warren Report
(Duration 46:17)
Mark Lane, Esq., author, lawyer, social activist and filmmaker, has written nine books on contemporary legal issues including “Rush to Judgment,” the 1966 critique of the Warren Commission Report, and, “A Citizen’s Dissent,” his 1968 ’reply’ to the media and other defenders of the Report. His book, “Plausible Denial,” a best-seller in 1992, focused on the trial of Watergate conspirator E. Howard Hunt against a newspaper that implicated the CIA in the assassination. Lane represented the publication and won. He co-wrote the screenplay for “Executive Action,” and produced - and appeared - in the documentaries “Rush to Judgment” and “Two Men in Dallas.” A longtime civil rights activist, Lane successfully represented the American Indian Movement at the historic Wounded Knee trial, and, argued a Supreme Court case that helped establish the law of defamation.
