James K. Olmstead is an independent researcher with an interest in American History from 1754 to the present, particularly crime in the state of Ohio, the Civil War’s Ohio units and the John F. Kennedy Assassination. As a researcher for the development of film scripts, he has created a body of work called “The Path to Dallas,” based on over 6,000 pages of material. Throughout much of the 1970’s, Mr. Olmstead served as a U.S. Army photographer, both with the V Corps in Frankfurt, Germany, and, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. From 1966 to 1969, he served as a motion picture photographer and a combat intelligence photographer for the 4th Infantry Division, as well as, a general news photographer for Pacific Stars and Stripes in Japan. Mr. Olmstead also has been a general news and sports photographer for the Warren Tribune Chronicle in Warren, OH.
